Civics is the study of civic affairs and the duties and rights of
citizenship. By studying civics, a person will learn how our government,
economic system and political system are supposed to operate. Studying
civics prepares students to translate beliefs into actions and ideas
into policies, to discharge their responsibilities while protecting
their rights and the rights of others. Civics directly addresses
citizenship education in the context of political systems. |
